Saints Row 4: Gat Out of Hell announced
A stand-alone expansion pack for Saints Row 4, my game of the year last year (in joke), was announced yesterday by Volition and doesn’t require Saints Row 4 to play. It will be out on the 27th of January for the PC, Playstation 3 & 4, 360 and Xbox One for $20 (probably closer to £20 for us Brits).
The basic premise is that your main character from Saints Row 4 has been sucked through a portal to hell. So Gat and Kinzie dive in after him/her to save him/her and, to quote Gat, “shoot Satan in the face”. Other details include:
- A map half the size of the map in Saints Row 4
- 2 player co-op
- Suitably biblical weapons
- Demon killing
It all sounds suitably bonkers and I’d love an excuse to play a bit more of Saints Row 4. I just hope it is better than the other expansion packs Volition have done in the past.
Alongside this announcement, Volition also declared that a next generation version of Saints Row 4, titled Saints Row 4: Re-elected, will be released on the Xbox One and Playstation 4. It will also be released on the 27th of Janurary and, shockingly, will be priced at $30. Quite unheard of when it comes to “next gen” remasters of games.
